My First Blog Post

Foggy Brain

Have you ever felt like you are walking around in a cloud of fog like you had no purpose, no sense of direction? Well let me offer my opinion as to why I believe this is happening from a personal stand point.

Unfortunately, the things that we put into our body are actually causing this to happen, therefore, this is why I chose this as my first blog entry.

Everyday I feel like I am in a cloud of fog where I have no clarity of mind at all. I feel at times that I am running in circles looking for a corner or door of escape. I have recently started looking at my lifestyle and I have noticed yes, there are some great changes that need to be made.

Let’s first start with a few questions; 1. What are you ingesting into YOUR body? 2. On a daily basis what foods are YOU eating? 3. What bad habits do YOU have?

Now, I am not here to judge. I am here to help myself and others, so let me be transparent. I am not a 5’5, 180 lb woman, in fact, I am 5’2 and 240 lbs. Yes I am overweight, but I did not get like this overnight. This has been a lifetime of poor choices, bad habits, and no willpower to change from within. On a daily basis I drink soda pop, I don’t eat a heart healthy breakfast or any other heart healthy meals for that matter. It is too convenient to eat junk food rather than to eat healthy; which has become an epidemic in the world that we live in, not to mention cheaper. IMAGINE THAT!!

So how can we change this for ourselves and possibly others as well? The only way is to share personal stories of trials and triumphs, victories and setbacks. So I will start the sharing train.

Hi! My name is Lana. I am 46 years old. 5’2 and 240 lbs. I recently discovered an article in a Woman’s World that caught my attention. This lady had experienced weight loss and cured chronic pain, all with changing her diet to plant based lifestyle. This prompted me to look deeper into plant based foods and their benefits. Stayed tuned.

Now I like sugar especially in the form of Dr. Pepper, Gatorades, Powerades and sweet tea. All of which are not good for me. Sugary drinks will diminish your clarity. These types of drinks are one of seven worst foods for the brain. The 7 worst foods for the brain are as follows: sugar, aspartame, refined carbs, trans fats, processed foods, alcohol and fish high in mercury. We also know that there are foods that cause brain fog such as: MSG, peanuts and dairy products. (Who doesn’t like cookies with milk?)

There are foods that will fight brain fog, such as: salmon, blueberries, olive oil, walnuts, avocados, dark leafy vegetables and oh water. Click here to check out this water hack that will help as well.

So let’s talk about how long brain fog can last without changing or fixing the problem. Brain fog could last up to 5 decades. Now that is a very long time. So why not get on the trend train and adopt a healthier lifestyle by simply making a lifestyle change, eating plant based foods and drinking more water, zerotohero.

There are an enormous amounts of recipes and websites such as to help you get on the right track. There are also documentaries that will definitely make you think about what you are putting into your body.

In closing, I AM a work in progress. I am under construction. If you want to follow me please click the link below. Stay tuned for more help and insight on this subject. Until next time………
